I offer boarding and sitting services for dogs and cats; however, dogs are my main focus, so I only accept kittens or cats who are used to being around dogs.
I don't have set hours and try our best to accommodate your schedule; however, there are extra fees for drop off/pick ups before 7:30am on weekdays or 9am on weekends and after 8:30pm any day of the week,.
Yes, Palmdog Playcare is open year round, 7 days a week.
No! Play time is divided between sizes and temperament. The only time larger/smaller dogs are mixed is if they come from the same family and the other dogs in the play group are comfortable with both sizes.
I make sure every dog feels at home by offering whatever sleeping setup they’re most comfortable with — beds, crates, couches, quiet rooms, or even cool floors. I’ve even slept on the kitchen floor with a puppy to keep her routine consistent. Every dog is different, which is why my rates aren’t one-size-fits-all.
I provide transportation services to pick up and drop off your dog for daycare and boarding as well as to take our pet to vet or grooming appointments.
Yes, there are holiday surcharges for most US holidays: $5 the day before and after and $10 the day of.
Holidays subject to additional fees:
I have plenty of dog beds and toys, so there is no need for you to bring any of your pet's things from home. However, if it's their first time staying with me, I do recommend bringing a towel, small blanket, or something that smells like you or your home that they can sleep with (and is easily washable in case another dog gets ahold of it).
No. To avoid any dietary issues, please bring your pet's food and any treats you'd like them to have during their stay.
While my focus isn't on training dogs, if your dog is in training or has certain behaviors/commands you want me to reinforce during the stay, we can discuss this in the initial meet and greet (or a later meeting if your dog has already stayed with me) to determine the plan for their stay.
Alternatively, if you're looking to train your dog, I'm located very close to one of Coachella Valley's top dog trainers and can refer you if needed. Also, depending on the dates, we may also be able to partner on a board and train service.
I only offer very basic grooming services - a bath and blow dry with a possible nail trim or grind (if your dog allows). If you have a need for full service grooming, I'll gladly give you the information for the groomer nearby that my dogs have gone to since I've moved here. :)
